Anxiety
Anxiety is broadly defined as excessive fear or worry that can show up in body sensations, thoughts, overwhelming feelings, or even as a compulsive behavior. Anxiety looks and feels a little different from person to person and it may be about something specific, like social anxiety or a phobia, or it is experienced as more generalized.
Not everyone who experiences anxiety has an anxiety disorder and at Healing Oaks, we believe that a bit of anxiety is a natural part of life. However, when the volume of our anxiety seems to drown out the other melodies of our lives, this is a good indicator that it may be time for counseling. Depression
Some symptoms of depression include: profound sadness, depletion of energy, irritability, numbness, sleeping too much or too little, loss of interest in activities, and hopelessness.
